Overview

Those Students who wants to study in U.S for the long term/Short term duration, they will need to apply for Student visa (F1) first. The visa validity is depends on their total duration of Course/Degree. Student visa holders are allowed to do work during their study 20 hours per week.

The applicant must apply for a "US Student Visa" online along with the necessary documentation. The applicant will be handed a Form I-20 by his/her institution's international student office, which is a paper record of the applicant's information in the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System database (SEVIS). The candidate must thereafter undergo medical testing as directed by the US embassy. Following that, an interview with the US embassy must be scheduled, with the embassy providing a date for the interview. You will obtain your visa in due time once you have successfully completed the interview.

  • Basic Eligibility Any Bangladeshi Nationals are Eligible to Apply for U.S student VISA (having a valid MRP / E-Passport with at least 6 months validity) subject to provide some required Documents.

Choose the applicant's profession. Documents differ mainly in proof of occupation and finances.

Service holder

Salaried employees

  1. Passport

    Original Passport with validity of minimum six months after the intended date of departure and minimum two blank pages for visa stamp.

    a. Copy of previous passports and visas issued.

    b. Attach all your old passports (if any).

    c. If any visa request was refused, details of original letter issued by the authorities of that country would be preferred.

  2. Photo Specification

    Two recent passport size photographs with matt or semi matt finish, 60-80% face coverage, white background and without border (Size: 2 inch x 2 inch)

    Please Note: Photograph should not be more than 3 months old, scanned/stapled and should not be used in any of the previous visas.

  3. Police Clearance

    An original copy of Police Clearance Certificate is required.

  4. Academic Documents

    All academic Certificate and Transcripts are required of SSC,HSC, 'O' Level, 'A' Level, Undergraduate, Postgraduate, IELTS, Recommendation Letter (From applicants undergrad university or HSC College), SOP (for university application), Job Experience Letter (If any) etc.

  5. Sponsors Marriage Certificate (Notarized & English translated)

    In terms of both parents sponsorships, Marriage certificate will be needed.

  6. Applicants/Sponsors Financial Documents

    a. Personal bank Statement for Last Six Months and Bank Solvency Certificate.

    b. Dalil and Khatiyan of fixed assets (if applicant wants to show)

    c. TIN certificate

    d. Financial affidavit and Sponsorship declaration, Asset Valuation.

    e. Income Tax Certificate, Tax Return (Last 02 Years)

  7. Applicants/Sponsors Proof of Occupation

    a. Office ID card / Visiting Card

    b. Salary account bank statements (preferably) or Pay slips or Salary certificates are required for service holders.

    c.*Valid Passport, NID, Photo, and Birth certificate.

  8. Important Note

    English Translation will be needed for Bangla documents

    and all documents have to be make Notary public.

  9. Medical Test

    The medical examination takes place 3 weeks before your scheduled interview. You must get examined by the doctor authorized by the US Embassy. The medical examination is valid only for 3-6 months.
