Overview

The Standard Short Term "Tourist Visa" is for those applicants who want to visit France for the purpose of Tour / Holidaying / Vacation. The Visitor is only permitted to stay in France for the duration of their planned of stay but no more than 90 days. The applicant must enter and exit the Schengen area within that time limit. During their stay in France, visitors with a Tourist Visa are not permitted to accept unauthorized employment, attend school, or represent foreign information media.

The applicant must submit all necessary documentation (including the online application form and take a printout of the completed form) through France Embassy, Dhaka in order to apply for the France Schengen Sticker Visa. Prior to submission, a scheduled appointment is necessary for the submission of documents and biometrics procedure. The applicant will be informed when the time comes to obtain his/her passport once the France Embassy makes a decision.

Who can apply

  • Basic Eligibility Any Bangladeshi Nationals are Eligible to Apply for France Tourist Visa (having a valid MRP / E-Passport with at least 6 months validity) subject to provide some required Documents.

Required documents

Choose the applicant's profession. Documents differ mainly in proof of occupation and finances.

Service holder

Salaried employees

  1. Passport

    A valid passport that is original and at least six months validity is essential. Moreover, the passport must have at least two blank pages.

    Note: Old passport is required (if any)

  2. Cover Letter

    A personal letter from the applicant covering personal details, the purpose of the visit, and outlining who will be responsible for the full costs of the trip. The accommodation details also need to include. The letter should be addressed to The Visa Officer, FRANCE Embassy, Dhaka.

  3. Photo Specification

    A recent (6-month-old) two-color photo with a white background is necessary. Photos format should be in ICAO standard (3.5 cm x 4 cm). The photograph should be printed on matt/semi-matt paper, and without border.

  4. Applicants / Sponsors Proof of Occupation and Identity

    *Office ID Card/Visiting Card

    *Company Letter Pad : A letter from your employer on company letterhead, with contact details, stating that a leave of absence has been granted, the purpose and duration of the trip, and that you will be returning to your current job (if you are a job holder).

    *Salary slips for the last 6 months

    *Valid Passport, NID, Photo, and Birth certificate.

  5. Purpose of travel/stay

    Booking confirmation of an organised trip with detailed program, letter from applicant describing the planned trip.

    Reservation of a return ticket or travel itinerary.

  6. Applicants / Sponsors Financial Documents

    *Personal Bank Statement of the last 6 months & Bank Solvency certificate.

    *TIN certificate

    *Income Tax certificate (Last 2 years), Tax Return (ITR)

  7. Travel Insurance

    Insurance must be valid for the whole Schengen area. The Insurance must cover the repatriation costs up to 30,000 Euros. The Insurance must fully cover the whole period of stay within the Schengen area.

    *The conditions must be stated either on the insurance document or on a separate confirmation letter.

  8. Flight and hotel reservation

    Valid round trip Air Ticket confirmation and Hotel confirmation for the whole duration of the stay, or other documents proving accommodation is required.

  9. Forwarding-Letter

    NOC from the applicant's company authority on the company's letterhead stating the applicant's name, designation, passport number, purpose, and duration of the visa.

    **The NOC letter is highly important for your Schengen visa application.(Pay slips should be included in it.

  10. Invitation Letter (If Any)

    An original copy of Invitation letter from company/ Organization or Friends and Family with evidence.

  1. Passport

    *TIN certificate

    *Income Tax certificate (Last 2 years), Tax Return (ITR)

    *Income Tax Certificate of the Company (Last 2 Years) (in case the applicant is a business holder).

  8. Travel Insurance

    Insurance must be valid for the whole Schengen area. The Insurance must cover the repatriation costs up to 30,000 Euros. The Insurance must fully cover the whole period of stay within the Schengen area.

    *The conditions must be stated either on the insurance document or on a separate confirmation letter.

  9. Forwarding-Letter

    The business pad states the applicant's name, designation, passport number, purpose, and duration of the visa.

  10. Invitation Letter (If Any)

    An original copy of Invitation letter from company/ Organization or Friends and Family with evidence.

Professional

Doctor, engineer, lawyer, CA etc.

  1. Passport

    *If the applicant is a doctor, then he will show a BMDC certificate; If he is a lawyer, then he will have to show a Bar Council certificate; and others have to prove their occupation from their respective autonomous bodies.

  • Visa Fees 90 EUROS (for adults).
  • Visa Fees 45 EUROS (for children aged 6-12).
  • Visa Application Service Center Charge BDT 5000 Approximately.
  • Travel Insurance Charge : Depends on applicant's age & travel duration.
  • Service Charge BDT 8,000.
  • Note: Bank draft charge and Visa application center fee might be charged.
