Overview
The person who wants to go to China for Short term or Long term study, will have to apply for a Chinese student visa. Student Visa is sub-divided into X1 and X2. X1 is issued to students who go to China to study for more than 6 months. X2 is issued to those who go to China with the same purpose but for a period of fewer than 6 months. X1 visa is usually issued for multiple entries with a validity of up to 5 years.
Applicants under a student visa are not allowed to work in China during their studies.
The "China Student Visa" application must be physically submitted to the Chinese Embassy. An appointment will be needed before the submission from (https://avas.cs.mfa.gov.cn). The embassy authority will take the passport and other necessary documents for two or three days and provide a delivery receipt. The slip includes a delivery time and date. To pick up their passports, applicants must go to the embassy with the delivery receipt.
