Overview

The person who wants to go in Canada for Short term or Long term study, they will have to apply for Canada study permit. This Study permit is provided on the basis of their study duration. Student visa holders are allowed to do work during their study for unlimited hours (valid till 31st December 2023).

In order to obtain a Canadian Student Visa from Bangladesh, Bangladeshi nationals must first apply online/offline. The applicant must fill up all the necessary application forms as per the immigration's instruction. After filling out the forms applicant needs to upload all the documents as the embassy instructed (if online) OR submit all the required documents to the Visa Application Center (if offline). After that, the applicant must schedule a Biometrics appointment at the Canadian Visa Application Center. After completing the biometrics, the applicant will be required to complete his/her prescribed medical tests as a part of the Canadian Visa Application. Immigration will then make their decision and request for the applicant's passport (if the visa application is successful) and it has to be submitted at the Visa Application Center for reviewing. After the reviewing process is completed, passports can be collected from the visa application center in person.

  • Basic Eligibility Any Bangladeshi Nationals are Eligible to Apply for Canada student VISA (having a valid MRP / E-Passport with at least 6 months validity) subject to provide some required Documents.
    Note: Under 17/18 years old students may apply for Schooling Visa.

Choose the applicant's profession. Documents differ mainly in proof of occupation and finances.

Salaried employees

  1. Passport

    A. Original Passport with validity of minimum of six months after the intended date of departure and minimum of two blank pages for visa stamp.

    B. Copy of previous passports and visas issued.

    C. All your old passports (if any).

    D. If any visa request was refused, details of the original letter issued by the authorities of that country.

  2. Academic Documents

    All academic Certificate and Transcripts are required of SSC,HSC, 'O' Level, 'A' Level, Undergraduate, Postgraduate, IELTS, Recommendation Letter (From applicants undergrad university or HSC College), SOP (for university application), Job Experience Letter (If any) etc.

  3. Sponsors Marriage Certificate (Notarized & English translated)

    In terms of both parents sponsorships, Marriage certificate will be needed.

  4. Applicants/Sponsors Financial Documents

    a. Personal bank Statement for Last Six Months and Bank Solvency Certificate.

    b. Dalil and Khatiyan of fixed assets (if applicant wants to show)

    c. TIN certificate

    d. Financial affidavit and Sponsorship declaration, Asset Valuation.

    e. Income Tax Certificate, Tax Return (Last 02 Years)

  5. Applicants/Sponsors Proof of Occupation

    *Office ID Card/Visiting Card

    *Salary slips for the last 6 months

    *Valid Passport, NID, Photo, and Birth certificate.

  6. Photo Specification

    Recently taken two passport-size photographs (35mm X 45mm) with a white background are required. Photographs should be printed on matt-finished paper.

    Please note that photographs will also be taken at the Canadian Visa Application Center as a part of the Biometric requirement.

  7. Important Note

    English translation will be needed for bangla documents

    and all documents needs to be notarised.

  8. Police Clearance

    An original copy of Police Clearance Certificate is required.

  9. Medical Test

    Applicants are required to complete their medical test from the IRCC enlisted panel physicians. An appointment from medical test center is also required. This medical test can be done before/after the instruction from IRCC.

Processing time

Generally, the processing time takes about 3 to 4 months, although it might take longer depending on the Canadian Embassy. Applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible to get their visa on time.
