Overview
The person who wants to go in Australia for Short term or Long term study, they will have to apply for Australia study permit. This Study permit is provided on the basis of their study duration. Student visa holders are allowed to do work during their study in Australia.
Candidates have to submit an online application for an 'Australian Student Visa' with the required documents. Once you have applied for your visa and have received a Biometric requirement letter from the Department of Home Affairs, you need to book an appointment to submit your biometric information during which your fingerprints and photo will be captured at the Biometric Collection Centre. To book an appointment, you will first need to register on the Visa Application Centre's website. Upon booking the appointment, you will receive confirmation and a letter of appointment by email. Only ONE appointment can be booked per visa applicant. If you are part of a family or group, each member of the family or group must make an individual appointment. Please follow the instructions specified in your appointment letter. After you have submitted your biometric data at the Biometric Collection Centre, you have to wait for your visa decision notification by the Department of Home Affairs in your ImmiAccount (the account that is used to make the online visa application). Through this account, you can also track the status of your visa. Once the visa is granted, a visa granted notification will be sent to the applicants email and it can be downloaded from the Immi Account.
